چکیده
Objective: Aim of current study was to determine the functional outcomes closed static intramedullary nailing with distal two plane locking versus percutaneous MIPPO tibial plate in 3rd tibia metaphyseal fractures. Study Design: Randomized clinical trial Place and Duration: Nishtar Hospital Multan/Qaisrani Medical Center Multan. Jan 2021-March 2022 Methods: There were 76 patients both genders age 15-60 years presented. All had fracture admitted hospital for surgery. Following collection informed written consent from enrolled patients, complete demographic information gathered. Patients equally divided into groups. Group I received group II plate. Favorable unfavorable among cases compared. SPSS 22.0 used analyze all data. Results: majority males 22 (60.5%) 20 (52.6%) II. In mean 30.8±6.42 BMI 24.71±3.19 kg/m2 31.14±3.58 25.7±7.17 kg/m2. Falling, accidents, sports lifting heavy object most common cause We found that more effective as compared terms but difference insignificant. Frequency complications higher 14 (36.8%) 4 (10.4%) cases. Conclusion: concluded this third fractures effectively operated by frequency nailing. The Role of Biplanar Distal Locking in Intramedullary Nailing of Tibial Shaft Fractures
Background: To compare the union times of the uncomplicated tibial shaft fractures, which were distally locked by twocoronal and one sagittal screws and by only two coronal screws. Methods: 45 patients with tibial shaft treated with intramedullary nailing included in this study. 23 of 45 fractureswere treated with uniplanar two distal interlocking (Group 1) and 22 fractures were treated with bip...
متن کاملDistal Locking Screws for Intramedullary Nailing of Tibial Fractures.
Recently introduced tibial intramedullary nails allow a number of distal screws to be used to reduce the incidence of malalignment and loss of fixation of distal metaphyseal fractures. However, the number of screws and the type of screw configuration to be used remains obscure. This biomechanical study was performed to address this question. Thirty-six Expert tibial nails (Synthes, Oberdorf, Sw...
متن کاملIntramedullary nailing and angulation prevention in distal metaphyseal tibial fractures.
Intramedullary nailing, which is preferred in tibial diaphyseal fractures, is also frequently used in distal third tibial fractures. Various angular deformities, including varus/valgus deformity, may be observed during postintramedullary nailing. Orthopedic surgeons use several methods to prevent this problem. In this study, at least 2 static locking screws were placed proximal and distal to the...
متن کاملFunctional Results of Unstable (Type 2) Distal Clavicle Fractures Treated with Superior Anterior Locking Plate
Background: The treatment of distal clavicle fracture is always a challenge, as it is mostly unstable and has higherrate of delayed union, malunion, non-union and associated acromioclavicular arthritis. So the management of thesefractures remains controversial. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the functional results of Type 2 distal endclavicle fractures treated with superior anterior l...
متن کاملBiomechanical comparison of distal locking screws for distal tibia fracture intramedullary nailing
Background: Newer generation intramedullary (IM) tibial nails provide several distal interlocking screw options. The objectives were to determine: 1) if the new oblique interlocking option provides superior stability, 2) which screw orientation/ configuration is the most biomechanically stable, and 3) if three distal interlocking screws provide better stability. Methods: A preliminary experimen...
